Friends of Schiller Park, Fundacja Art&Balance oraz artysta zapraszają na kolejną wystawę rzeźb balansujących w Stanach Zjednoczonych. Tym razem niezwykle gościnne miasto Columbus w Ohio eksponuje w kilku miejskich parkach ponad 20 prac artysty.
Centralnym miejscem wystawy jest Schiller Park mieszczący się we wspaniałej, zabytkowej dzielnicy German Village. Ekspozycja wpisuje się w obchody 150-lecia Parku. Zobaczyć tu można aż 19 prac - m.in. "Wioślarza", który balansuje nad stawem, kilku "Atletów" z najnowszego cyklu balansjerów, a także gimnastyczki i gimnastyków, akrobatów i rzeźby nawiązujące do antyku.
Ta stanowiąca małą retrospektywę artysty prezentacja zaplanowana została podług głównej ścieżki Parku - dawnej drogi dla powozów okalającej całe zielone założenie. Dzięki temu rzeźby mogą być podziwiane zarówno w samym Parku, jak i niemal zaglądają do domów zgrupowanych wokół. Balansjerzy zatopieni są tu w tkance miasta, zyskując dwie perspektywy i tła - zielone i architektoniczne.
Po dwie rzeźby prezentowane są w Parku Thurbera (nazwanego na cześć najważniejszego amerykańskiego rysownika XX wieku - Jamesa Thurbera), zlokalizowanym w The Jefferson Avenue Historic District, oraz w Parku Livingstona, który mieści się przy ogromnym Szpitalu Dziecięcym The Nationwide.
Ostatnią rzeźbę wystawy w Columbus zobaczyć można w atrium Biblioteki Głównej.

Friends of Schiller Park, the Art & Balance Foundation and the artist invite you to the next exhibition of balancing sculptures in the United States. This time, the extremely hospitable city of Columbus in Ohio exhibits over 20 artist works in several city parks.
The central place of the exhibition is picturesque Schiller Park located in the magnificent historic district of German Village. The exhibition is a feature of the celebration of the 150th anniversary of the park. Visitors are able to see 19 works here - including "Rower" who balances on a pond, several "Athletes" from the latest balancer cycle, as well as gymnasts, acrobats, and sculptures referring to antiquity.
The Schiller presentation, which is a small retrospective of the artist’s, was planned along the main path circling the park - a former road for nineteenth-century carriages surrounding the whole green area. Thanks to this positioning, the sculptures can be admired throughout the park, and those lucky enough to live in the beautifully restored homes adjacent to the park are able to enjoy the works from their windows.
The balancers were installed to be embedded in the fabric of the city, benefiting from multiple perspectives and backgrounds – the botanical green, patches of sky, and both historic and contemporary architecture.
Two sculptures are presented in Thurber Park (named in honor of James Thurber, one of the most important American writers and artists of the 20th century), a circular greenspace placed in the middle of a boulevard in The Jefferson Avenue Historic District, and in Livingston Park, which is located at the entrance to the enormous Nationwide Children's Hospital campus.
The last sculpture of the exhibition in Columbus can be seen in the atrium of the handsome Carnegie Library.

There is something other-worldly about the experience of bringing an exhibit of this caliber to Columbus, Ohio. We like to imagine how we will look on the list of exhibit sites next to Art Basel Miami and the Amsterdam Sculpture Biennial!”
