W szwajcarskim St. Urban zagościła właśnie wielowątkowa wystawa rzeźb balansujących Jerzego Kędziory "Charlie Chaplin i przyjaciele". Ekspozycja wplata się w trwały zestaw dzieł tworzących w tym wiekowym, otoczonym piękną przyrodą, poklasztornym kompleksie jeden ze znaczniejszych w Europie Parków rzeźb (wkrótce ma się on stać siedzibą międzynarodowej unii zrzeszającej rzeźbiarskie parki i ogrody). Odbywają się w nim nie tylko wystawy, ale także koncerty, festiwale, warsztaty artystyczne i terapeutyczne. Obiekt ten jest chętnie odwiedzany przez wizytujących niedalekie Art Basel – jedną z wiodących w świecie imprez promujących współczesną sztukę.
Art-St-Urban prezentuje częstochowskiego artystę już po raz trzeci. W 2009 r. wspólną z Magdaleną Abakanowicz ekspozycją honorował 90. rocznicę nawiązania stosunków dyplomatycznych Polski i Szwajcarii, a w 2011 roku, wraz z najważniejszymi przedstawicielami tej dziedziny sztuki, uczestniczył w prezentacji "Polscy artyści w cieniu Alp - rzeźba polska XX wieku".
Aktualna wystawa, na którą składa się 8 balansujących postaci, wnosi nowego ducha i ekspresję w technicystyczne w większości formy stałej ekspozycji Parku rozlokowane na wypielęgnowanych trawnikach. Rzeźby Kędziory unoszą i przenoszą wzrok widzów w inne obszary parkowego założenia, w kierunku wielobarwnych koron starych drzew i nakładających się w oddaleniu panoram pogórza.
Dwie figury wielkiego maga kina będą patronować wielu przedsięwzięciom – z festiwalem filmowym na czele.
W prezentowanej wystawie mniej jednak chodzi o same portrety Chaplina, a bardziej o pewne współbrzmienia z jego twórczością. Niemi bohaterowie ekspozycji grają ruchem natury bezdźwięczne aktorskie etiudy. Na oczach zafascynowanych widzów wykonują na linach ekwilibrystyczne gagi, ujarzmiają rekwizyty, utrzymują niepewną równowagę, atakują sportowe przeszkody. Swoją mobilnością i bogatymi profilami, czytelnymi treściami objawianymi na tle nieba i listowia tworzą artystyczny kontrast do gładkich, abstrakcyjnych form w przyziemiu.
Szczególnie interesująco prezentuje się "Chłopiec z latawcem", który jeszcze niedawno w Kazimierzu Dolnym uczestniczył w akcji "Łączenia czworaczków flisaka" w ramach Roku Wisły. Ustawiony wysoko na linie, nad głównym tarasem historycznego założenia ogniskuje uwagę widza, tworząc na różnorakich tłach emocjonalne i estetyczne asocjacje. Inni bohaterowie wydarzenia: „Dziewczynka Pabla”, „Akrobata z krzesłem” czy gimnastycy na i z przyrządami świetnie wpasowali się w bogaty anturaż otoczenia. Przesuwają się na tle fasad, dopełniają zielone i architektoniczne enklawy, ubogacają kadry dachowych połaci. Bardzo dynamicznie atakuje przestrzeń i widzów najnowsze dzieło artysty – atleta "Nad poprzeczką", który tym razem zawisł nieco niżej, niemal w bezpośrednim zetknięciu z odbiorcą.
Portretami Chaplina zainteresowani są włodarze Vevey, miasta w którym artysta żył w ostatnim okresie swojego życia, jak i zarządzający muzeum mieszczącym się w jego szwajcarskiej posiadłości. Być może któraś z rzeźb na dłużej zabawi w jednym z tych miejsc.
Wystawie balansjerów w otwartej przestrzeni towarzyszy zestaw kolejnych prac ukazanych na dużych fotografiach Bartłomieja Kędziory, który od lat dokumentuje dorobek ojca, kreując nowe wartości poznawcze i artystyczne. Wystawa ta pokazywana będzie rotacyjnie w pawilonach tamtejszego Muzeum Sztuki Współczesnej i salach klasztornych przy Parku rzeźb.

In Swiss St. Urban has just opened a multithreaded exhibition of Jerzy Kędziora's balancing sculptures "Charlie Chaplin and Friends". The exhibition is intertwined with a permanent set of works forming one of the most significant Sculpture Parks in Europe in this ancient, surrounded by beautiful nature, post-monastery complex (soon to become the seat of the international union of sculptural parks and gardens). It hosts not only exhibitions, but also concerts, festivals, artistic and therapeutic workshops. This facility is eagerly visited by visitors to the nearby Art Basel - one of the world's leading events promoting contemporary art.
Art-St-Urban presents the artist from Częstochowa for the third time. In 2009, the joint exhibition with Magdalena Abakanowicz honored the 90th anniversary of establishing diplomatic relations between Poland and Switzerland, and in 2011, together with the most important representatives of this field of art, he participated in the presentation of "Polish Artists in the Shadow of the Alps - Polish Sculpture of the 20th Century".
The current exhibition, which consists of 8 balancing figures, brings a new spirit and expression to the mostly technical forms of the Park's permanent exhibition located on manicured lawns. Kędziora's sculptures lift and transport the viewers' eyes to other areas of the park complex, towards the multi-colored crowns of old trees and the panoramas of the foothills overlapping in the distance.
Two figures of the great magician of cinema will be the patrons of many undertakings - with the film festival at the forefront.
The presented exhibition, however, is less about Chaplin's portraits, and more about certain resonances with his work. The mute characters of the exhibition play voiceless acting etudes with the movement of nature. In front of the fascinated spectators, they perform equilibristic gags on ropes, tame props, maintain an uncertain balance, attack sports obstacles. With their mobility and rich profiles, legible content revealed against the background of the sky and foliage, they create an artistic contrast to the smooth, abstract forms on the ground.
Particularly interesting is "Boy With A Kite", which not so long ago in Kazimierz Dolny (Poland) participated in the "Connecting Rafter's Quadruplets" as part of the Year of the Vistula River. Set high on a rope, above the main terrace of the historic complex, it focuses the viewer's attention, creating emotional and aesthetic associations on various backgrounds. Other heroes of the event: "Pablo's Girl", "Acrobat With A Chair" or gymnasts on and with devices perfectly fit into the rich entourage of the surroundings. They move against the background of the facades, complement the green and architectural enclaves, enrich the frames of the roof slopes. The artist's latest work, the athlete "Above the Bar", attacks the space and viewers very dynamically, this time hanging slightly lower, almost in direct contact with the viewer.
The authorities of Vevey, the city where Charlie Chaplin lived in the last period of his life, as well as the managers of the museum located in his Swiss estate, are interested in Chaplin's portraits. Perhaps one of the sculptures will stay in one of these places for a longer time.
The exhibition of balancers in open space is accompanied by a set of subsequent works shown in large photographs by Bartłomiej Kędziora, who has been documenting his father's achievements for years, creating new cognitive and artistic values. The exhibition will be shown on a rotational basis in the pavilions of the local Museum of Contemporary Art and the monastery halls at the Sculpture Park.
